Rowing is a great way to meet people and get in shape. NSRC has a friendly and sociable adult section, offering opportunities to race or just row socially. We row on Rudyard Lake, a 2.5km stretch of beautiful rowing water within five miles of Leek.
NSRC have a complete range of boats for both rowing and sculling, from single to eights. With members of all ages and abilities, you’ll be able to join male, female or mixed crews.
Whether you’re an experienced rower or looking to get back into the sport, NSRC would love to see you! Our regular club sessions are held Sunday mornings, 10:00-12:00. For experienced rowers, we also offer open access to the boathouse – perfect for a midweek outing.
We frequently enter seniors’ and masters’ race in local regattas and head races – but there’s no pressure to race.

We offer Learn to Row courses twice a year. Comprising one taster session and five weeks of training, it’s the perfect opportunity to find out if rowing is for you. Check out the Learn to Row page to book a place on our next course.
